Community Schools

As a Community School, we are about more than just teaching our students in the classroom. We work with the whole community to make sure every student has what they need to succeed

We are partners with our community and work to help students get things like housingfood, a job, and transportation, to name a few.

Let us know how we can support you!

CCSPP Implementation Plan for Mills Middle School

A Mindset, Not a Program

FCUSD Community Schools Definition: A Community School takes on a whole child, whole-community approach to learning. Community schools leverage the resources of the whole community –students, families, educators, and community partners to build relationship-centered, supportive, and equitable school communities where learning is culturally-rooted, inclusive, rigorous, and relevant. (CSLX 2022)

FCUSD Community Schools Goal: To build on the strengths of Rancho Cordova youth, families, school staff, and the community to transform each school to be a whole-child system of support that removes systemic barriers to learning, wellness, and on-time graduation.
